Welding cart configuration and purchase checklist
A welding cart groups equipment around a movable platform. The required robot, power source, wire feeder, torch, controller, gas equipment and safety provisions must be specified for the project; this page does not define a standard included package.
What to confirm before selecting a system
- Ask for a bill of materials identifying supplied items, buyer-supplied items and optional equipment.
- Confirm electrical supply, gas arrangements and local site preparation; do not assume a voltage or that a gas cylinder is supplied or shipped.
- Review stability, cable routing, clearances and the approved operating location before moving or commissioning the system.
- Agree on factory tests, site acceptance, commissioning and training responsibilities; startup timing depends on these prerequisites.

What to confirm before selecting a system
- Material grade, thickness, joint geometry, weld access and part variation.
- Torch and tooling loads, working envelope, fixtures and loading arrangements; arm reach alone does not establish workpiece coverage.
- Process, power source, interfaces, consumables and any tracking options for the exact configuration.
- Representative part trials, acceptance criteria and complete cycle time including handling, inspection and changeover.
- System risk assessment, process guarding, extraction and operator training. A collaborative arm does not make the welding installation inherently safe.
- Delivery destination, transport, taxes, installation, training, spare parts and support responsibilities in the written quotation.
