Conceptual OEM scope map. It does not show a product, a standard package or confirmed customization options.
Can a distributor sell a CBOXTEC welding robot under its own brand?
Yes. CBOXTEC can support OEM supply so a distributor can sell a welding robot under its own brand. That confirmed capability does not mean every part of a product or project can be relabeled or changed. Confirm the requested arrangement and scope in writing before quoting it to an end customer.
Which branding elements can be customized?
Treat each element as a separate project question. A distributor may ask about a logo, nameplate, outer packaging, manuals or text shown on a control interface. Do not assume that one confirmed item includes the others, that every item is available, or that artwork can be applied to every model. Ask CBOXTEC to confirm the specific product, language, file, placement, approval step and delivery scope for each requested change.
Keep an approved reference with the commercial documents. It can identify the confirmed artwork and version, the product or shipment it applies to, and who approves changes. If an item has not been confirmed, label it as pending rather than showing it as a standard OEM feature. Minimum order quantities, lead times, exclusivity and prices also need project-specific written confirmation; this page makes no promise about them.
Does an own brand define the whole system scope?
No. Branding a robot does not by itself define who supplies or integrates fixtures, a welding power source, fume extraction, guarding, installation or application validation. Nor does it automatically appoint a distributor or grant a territory or exclusive rights. List the equipment, interfaces, exclusions, responsible parties and acceptance steps in the project documents. Confirm any representation or territorial arrangement in a separate written agreement.
The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration's technical manual describes an industrial robot application as a system that can include the robot and additional process equipment, and discusses responsibilities for manufacturers, integrators and users. That is useful background for keeping the product brand distinct from the complete application scope. It is U.S. technical guidance—not a determination of local law, product certification or a statement that any party has accepted a particular project duty. What should be confirmed before a distributor quotes?
Use a short written scope note to record:
- The robot model and the confirmed OEM arrangement.
- Each requested branding element and its approval status.
- The equipment, options and services included in the quote, plus exclusions.
- Who handles integration, installation, application checks and end-customer support.
- Which documents and training channels are included, and which items need separate agreement.
CBOXTEC has confirmed instruction documents, video tutorials and online guidance. On-site support has a separately agreed scope and extra charge. Do not present a support channel as a promise of a local service team, a fixed response time or a particular training outcome. Ask for those details to be confirmed for the actual project.
FAQ
Does OEM supply guarantee that every item will carry the distributor's logo?
No. CBOXTEC has confirmed OEM supply under the distributor's own brand, but each requested item—such as a logo, nameplate, package, manual or interface text—must be checked and confirmed for the project.
Does private branding include integration and after-sales service?
Not automatically. Record integration, installation, validation and support responsibilities separately. Documents, video tutorials and online guidance are confirmed; on-site support needs a separate scope and carries an extra charge.
Does this page set a minimum order, price or exclusive territory?
No. It confirms none of those commercial terms. Ask CBOXTEC to put any agreed quantity, price, delivery term, representation or territory in the project documents or a separate written agreement.
