What to confirm before selecting a system
- Material grade, thickness, joint geometry, weld access and part variation.
- Torch and tooling loads, working envelope, fixtures and loading arrangements; arm reach alone does not establish workpiece coverage.
- Process, power source, interfaces, consumables and any tracking options for the exact configuration.
- Representative part trials, acceptance criteria and complete cycle time including handling, inspection and changeover.
- System risk assessment, process guarding, extraction and operator training. A collaborative arm does not make the welding installation inherently safe.
- Delivery destination, transport, taxes, installation, training, spare parts and support responsibilities in the written quotation.

Prepare a project-specific comparison
The following questions are CBOXTEC procurement guidance. Confirm the proposed scope and acceptance criteria with your supplier.
- For chair frames, table bases or shelving, prepare drawings showing material grade, tube or sheet thickness, joint locations and acceptable finished dimensions. Include photographs of current fixtures.
- Supply parts with normal fit-up variation and define visible-weld appearance, inspection and finishing requirements. Ask the trial provider to record dimensional results after welding as well as weld appearance.
- Include at least two representative furniture variants if changeover matters. Agree how fixture changes, program selection, loading and torch access will be demonstrated before comparing a cart with a fixed installation.
